Harrington Opera House Society The Society met Monday evening, March 6, for its monthly meeting in the Art Room of the opera house. Present were Billie and Gordon Herron, Bunny Haugan, Cade Clarke, Sheryl Stedman, Cherie MacClellan, Carol, Linda Wagner and Marge Womach. This year the secretary sent out 186 newsletters which have brought in donations and memberships. Lynn Geissler passed away February 27, 2017, in Spokane. His home was in Davenport. He was born November 8, 1951 in Spokane to Echo and Phyllis Geissler. He was a lifetime resident of Davenport, where he attended school and graduated from Davenport High School in 1970. He went on to attend college in Spokane for a short time before returning to Davenport. In the 1B boys portion of the Hardwood Classic played last week at the Spokane Arena, Sunnyside Christian won the championship game over Lummi Nation. A new organization has been formed within Lincoln County. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Posse (LCSP) is a mounted search and rescue team of volunteers, appointed by the Lincoln County Sheriff, to assist in search and rescue operations when called upon by providing first-class horsemanship, first aid and any additional support to the Lincoln County Sheriff. Library board meeting Staci Rasmussen, Susan Larmer, Grace Moeller, Marge Womach and Mayor Dillon Haas met Thursday, February 16, to assess the KOHA bar-code software program.
