Selkirk On April 15, the O-H Titans played Selkirk in what had been scheduled as an away game but was instead played in Odessa. The Selkirk baseball field was not yet ready for play due to the weather conditions in that community. The Titans won both games of the double header. The first game had starting pitcher Chance Messer pitching to catcher Marcus King. Messer got the win even after being relieved by Camden Weber in the fourth inning. The Lions Club Easter egg hunt was held last Saturday at Reiman Park, with plenty of children on hand to enjoy the hunt, followed by playtime on the playground (more interesting to some of the kids than searching for plastic eggs). Three different age groups hunted down the candy-filled plastic eggs while also searching for the golden egg hidden in each section of the park for the three age groups. On the first day of spring break, April 3, 2017, 12 students spent the day in the basement of the Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center becoming certificated babysitters. This brings the total to 93 students who have participated in a Babysitting Basics class. Patricia Ann Kissler passed away on April 2, 2017 in Spokane. Her home was in Odessa. Patricia was born February 23, 1943 in Odessa to Samuel and Anna Marie (Ramm) Homberg. She grew up in Odessa and attended school there, graduating in 1961. While in high school she was a cheerleader and played tennis. A mailbox at the home of Shirley Johnson at 405 E. First Avenue in Odessa was essentially destroyed Saturday, April 1, prior to about 10 or 10:30 a.m. The mail carrier that day notifed the homeowner that the mailbox was damaged when the attempt was made to deliver that day's mail.
