The O-H Titan golf team has had a slow start to its season due to weather conditions. The first match at Odessa was cancelled due to poor course conditions. The team played Inchelium at Harrington March 21, with John Tanke leading the team as the low scorer. Ritzville won the next match on March 28, where Colt Sanford was the best scorer for the Titans. The conditions for last weekend's races put on by the Stumpjumpers Motorcycle Club on property south of town owned by Jerry and Ellen Schafer were not optimum. Odessa’s feral cat problem has grown to unmanageable proportions in various hot spots all over town. Citizen complaints and concern by the health care community have prompted the Town of Odessa to pass an ordinance requiring pet owners to license their cats as well as their dogs, so that efforts to trap the feral cats do not scoop up people’s pets along with the wild ones. Council members discussed a suggestion from town clerk Gail Kiesz that the parking along the side of the community center be changed to angle parking. The reason for the change was that large pickups in particular take up too much of the roadway when parked facing straight in toward the building.
