  • Walk-a-thon raises $3,000 for local pool

    The tenth annual Friends of the Pool Walk-A-Thon was held Sunday, April 19, and raised over $3,000 as of this Tuesday. According to Suzie Deife, FOP President, a total of 62 walkers collected pledges. Most of the walkers were school-aged children, but participants ranged in age from one year old to adults who took advantage of the fresh air and exercise. Those who gathered pledges walked or ran a total of 1,016 laps around the track at Finney Field for a total of 254 miles or an average of more than four miles per person....
