Wilbur-Creston defeated Odessa-Harrington’s volleyball team Saturday, October 29, in a grueling 5-game match, 30-28, 23-25, 25-13, 22-25 and 15-6. Deutchesfest weekend brought special visitors to see Great Granny, Mildred Deife. Her great grandchildren and their parents, Tyler and Adelee Stone from Chandler, Ariz. visited, along with Gramma and Grampa Teresa Stone and Barry Kirkeeng. The Odessa Quilt Club elected new officers for the coming year at the monthly October business meeting. Charles Lee Schoonover, age 79, died suddenly Friday, October 28, 2011, at Sacred Heart Medical Center after a short-term illness. He was born August 6, 1932, near Odessa on the Frederick homestead. Wilmon K. “Bill” Warren of Lewiston, Idaho died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. He was 76. Bill was born July 21, 1935 at Chickasha, Okla., to Floyd V. and Ina L.
