    REARDAN – One person was killed July 6 when a motorcycle struck a Ford F150 pickup on U.S. Highway 2 east of the city. Christina J. Gernert, 40, of Post Falls, Idaho, was pronounced dead at the scene. Spokane Fire Department officials notified her next of kin. She was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
