Koda Lynn Orr is the newest addition to the Johnson/Orr family of Odessa. Koda Lynn Orr was born November 2, 2017 at the Samaritan hospital in Moses Lake at 12:21 p.m. At birth he weighed 7.8 pounds and was 20 inches long. His parents are Brianna Johnson of Odessa and Jordan Orr of St. George, Utah. Shirley Johnson of Odessa is his grandmother. Sheriff Wade W. Magers announced the promotion of Deputy Roland Singer to the position of Lincoln County Sergeant. Sergeant Singer will begin his new duties effective November 1, 2017. Odessa Food Bank director Merleen Smith has announced that the Odessa Youth Group consisting of members of various local churches will once again be conducting a food drive for the Odessa Food Bank. Last week The Odessa Record included a Deutschesfest insert. In the insert on page 3 is a stock recipe for Apple Strudel. Please Do Not use that recipe. Reason one, amounts in metric or US are incorrect. At best, you will end up with goop suitable for hanging wallpaper.
