This past Saturday, the Big Red Barn Farmers Market in Davenport hosted a Farm-to-Table event. Local chefs, Adam Hegsted and Aaron Fish prepared a five-course meal in which all the food was provided by market vendors and travelled no more than 45 miles to the table. Can we ride ATVs on county roads in Lincoln County? This seems to be one of the most common questions lately, but the answer is, it depends. In 2013, the Washington State Legislature passed HB 1632 that allows ATV use on county roads that are posted 35 miles per hour or less. The Keller Ferry vessel, Sanpoil, was back in service as of 6 a.m. Monday, September 15, after hull seepage repairs were made to a hairline crack that had developed. The Keller Ferry across the Columbia River on State Route 21 is out of service until further notice. Water is seeping into one of the Sanpoil’s internal compartments through a hairline crack below the waterline.
