Colby Sooy of Odessa received the overall grand champion market steer trophy at the Lincoln County Fair. John Overmyer of Bluestem Trucking of Reardan, Keith Bailey of the Odessa Union Warehouse, (unidentified) and Tom Dent, candidate for state representative from Moses Lake join Sooy. Children in grades Kindergarten through fifth are part of a school program in which classroom teachers reward them for good behavior by putting names in a container. At the end of each week, the teacher looks at the names, and whoever's name has appeared most often is declared a Titan Pride winner. The winners for each grade level then get their picture taken for the Odessa Record at the end of each month. From all of the winner, three names are drawn separately for those who will attend a free lunch with the principal downtown....
