Booster Club dinner and auction this Saturday

The annual Odessa-Harrington Titans Booster Club auction will be held at the Odessa Community Center this Saturday, Oct. 6. The event kicks off with happy hour at 5:30 p.m., steak dinner at 6:00, and the auction will begin at 7:30.

According to Larry Weber, one of the event organizers, the club has collected 75 - 100 silent auction items and about 15 live auction items. Included in the offerings are a Titan football helmet autographed by team members, a Titan T-shirt quilt, and various Titan memorabilia. Also on offer are a chain saw, western metal art wine rack and several gift baskets

One of the highlights of the evening will be an “Ace in the Hole” drawing for a rifle. Guests will be given the option to buy a playing card, and if their card is drawn, they will win a rifle of the caliber they choose, provided by Ritzville Warehouse Co.

Dinner will consist of steaks grilled by the Odessa Riders’ Club, with the rest of the meal provided by the Boosters. Music will be provided by Justin Parr.

Over the past several years, the Booster Club has provided uniforms, warm-ups and other items needed by the Odessa-Harrington Titan athletic teams. This year, Weber says, the funds raised at the auction will go toward fulfilling the coaches’ “wish lists” for items that can’t be provided within their limited budgets.

Tickets to the event are $25, and can be purchased prior to the event at Odessa Drug or Harrington Foods. They will also be available at the door.

“Everyone is welcome,” said Weber.
