INCIDENT LOG

Editor's note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Oct. 1: A Davenport man reported an identity theft incident in which his name was used in a credit check at a San Leandro, Calif., used car lot.

A Seven Bays man reported several coins worth about $300 were stolen from a collection at his residence.

Deputies investigated three narcotics-related incidents, one involving a juvenile.

A Deer Meadows man filed a noise complaint, explaining that loud music was being played at an Osprey Road residence.

Oct. 2: Emergency personnel from Reardan and Davenport responded to a Moore Road residence to assist a 35-year-old woman with heart palpitations. MedStar air ambulance also was involved.

Reardan emergency personnel were advised of a collision involving a bus and car on SR 2 about 1½ miles west of Wood Road in Spokane County. No injuries were reported to the 14 children and three adults on the bus.

A collision involving a vehicle and deer was reported on SR 2 near Reardan.

Before Wilbur Police could respond to a report of bicycles missing from the local school, they had been returned. School officials will handle the matter.

Reardan Police dealt with four juveniles found smoking cigarettes in the town park.

National Park Service personnel responded when an elderly couple in a boat found themselves struggling with high winds and broken pilings at the Lincoln boat launch.

Oct. 3: Sheriff's deputies and dispatchers were involved in a mock vehicle collision at Harrington High School. Also participating were Harrington firefighters and ambulance personnel, a Washington State Patrol trooper and MedStar air ambulance.

A llama was reported loose on SR 2 in the east end of Creston.

Oct. 4: Emergency personnel from Reardan and Davenport responded to the Reardan clinic where a man had complained of chest pain.

A caller described a trespassing incident at her property on SR 231 north of Reardan.

A Creston woman reported being followed by a man in a vehicle while she delivered food to businesses in Wilbur, Keller and Creston. She said the man parked and watched her from a distance as she unloaded items at several stops.

Deputies responded to a report of a group of intoxicated minors at the Hawk Creek campground.

Reporting a fraud incident, a Davenport man said he found his bank account empty when he tried to use an ATM machine.

After responding to a reported assault of a woman at a residence in the 200 block of East Fourth Street in Sprague, deputies determined the incident was verbal only.

Oct. 5: Deputies investigated a reported burglary at a residence on SR 23 in the Sprague area. A blue Toyota pickup truck was missing from a garage, along with a gun safe and TV set.

A Deer Meadows man told dispatchers his RV had been broken into, but nothing taken from inside.

A caller reported that someone appears to have gained access to outbuildings on property adjacent to Sky Vista Lane in the Creston area.

Odessa Police took a report of destruction of rental property in the 300 block of Marjorie Avenue.

Oct. 6: A Davenport caller advised a hand truck had been taken from property in the 1000 block of Eighth Street.

Vandals damaged a deck and furniture at a residence in the 900 block of Fifteenth Street in Davenport. Plants, tables, chairs and an umbrella were overturned and broken.

Oct. 7: Odessa ambulance personnel assisted a 80-year-old woman experiencing chest pain.

Davenport firefighters were sent to a structure fire at Hawk Creek Ranch Estates.

After receiving a report that 15 juveniles were playing in the street in front of the Davenport United Methodist Church, a deputy advised a mother of how dangerous that was.

A caller reported the word "freak" had been "keyed" on a car parked in the 1000 block of Adams Street in Davenport.

Randall C. Gross, 19, Grand Coulee, confined 50 days by the court for reckless endangerment.

Oct. 2: Eric C. Flodin, 35, Davenport, confined 2 days by the court for driving while under the influence.

Oct. 4: Ricardo Escobar-Montes, 27, Brewster, arrested by Reardan Police for failing to appear for driving while license suspended.
