Star Night at Big Bend Community College is when scholarship donors and scholarship recipients get to know each other.
“The scholarship donors enjoy meeting the students, and pass their values on to them,” said LeAnne Parton, Executive Director of the BBCC Foundation. “One of those values is to give back when you can.”
Billed as a celebration of student achievement and donor generosity, the Star Night dinner sponsored by the Foundation is held in the fall when students are attending classes. “The recipients learn there are real people behind scholarship support,” Parton said.
