Some election campaigns less than civil

Editor’s note: The political campaign season is upon us, as ballots for the August primary election have gone out via the U.S. mail to registered voters in the Odessa area and elsewhere in the state. Although The Record is not aware of any complaints about campaign tactics in the Odessa area, other areas have not fared so well. Two different individuals sent information to The Record regarding their perception of unfair treatment at the hands of a municipality in once instance and of one of the campaigner’s opponents in the other instance.
