Colulmbia High School of Hunters did not provide the Titans with much of a challenge during the Homecoming game October 10 at Finney Field. After building up a 40-0 lead in the first quarter, the younger players got a chance to show their stuff and managed to keep pace with their opponents.

Sam Schafer scored on a pass play from quarterback Carsen Weber from 75 yards out (Weber running the ball for two more), then picked up a fumbled ball and scampered 35 yards for the TD (Sage Elder running for two more). Elder then got the next two touchdowns on completed passes from Weber from 35 and 25 yards. Both extra point attempts were good with Weber keeping the ball the first time and handing off to Elder the second time. Weber broke loose for a 40-yard TD, then completed a pass to John DeWulf for the two-point conversion to end the quarter.

Columbia scored first in the second quarter, but that score was answered by Caleb Behrens on a 5-yard run. Dylan Shockley caught a pass from backup quarterback Colton Hunt for two more points. Columbia scored once more before the half but the extra-point attempt was no good.

After half-time, a fairly quiet third quarter saw only a 40-yard run into the end zone by Schafer for the Titans. The try for extra points was no good.

In the final quarter, Columbia scored first and got the extra points. The final score of the game went to the Titans, with Behrens running in from 35 yards out. Jayd Jennings caught a pass from Hunt for the two-point conversion.

On offense Schafer finished with 106 yards rushing, 75 receiving and 3 touchdowns; Elder had 2 receptions for 68 yards and 2 touchdowns. Weber had 3 touchdown passes for the Titans, as well as 10 tackles on defense and an interception as a defender.
