Football team overpowers Yakama Tribal team, 84-44

The visiting Odessa-Harrington Titans defeated the Yakama Tribal Eagles 84-44 in Saturday’s game played in Yakima.

The Titans played a strong offense with 775 total yards for the game, of which 481 were rushing yards and 294 were passing yards. The only struggle the Titans seemed to have was on defense with tackling.

The Elder brothers scored all 30 points in the first quarter with Gaven making the first, third and fourth touchdowns, while older brother Sage scored the second. The first TD was on a 50-yard pass from quarterback Colton Hunt with S. Elder running in the two point conversion, then making the second TD of the game on a 72-yard pass from Hunt, with Dylan Shockley scoring the extra two points on a pass from Hunt. G. Elder made a 23-yard run for the third TD and a two-yard run to score the fourth TD of the first quarter, also running in the final two-point conversion on a pass from Hunt.

The second quarter found another 30 points added to the O-H total with Dylan Shockley scoring on a 12-yard pass from Hunt and Caleb Behrens running in the extra two points. S. Elder then scored the following three TDs, an 80-yard run with Behrens running in the two points, a 56-yard run with Hunt scoring the extra points and a 20-yard pass from Hunt.

Behrens scored the first TD of the third quarter on a 5-yard run and also the two-point conversion on a pass from Hunt, while Shockley scored on a 12-yard pass from Hunt, with Behrens scoring the two-point conversion.

Aaron Gies scored the final TD of the game and only TD on the fourth on a 50 yard run with Behrens again making the extra points.

S. Elder had eight carries for 175 yards and one TD, plus three receptions for 100 yards and two TDs. G. Elder had six carries for 97 yards and one TD and five receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Behrens had 14 carries and one TD, and one reception for eight yards. Shockley had two receptions for 24 yards and two TDs. Gies had six carries for 70 yards and one TD and also one reception for 30 yards.

Hunt went 11 of 17 for passing with a total of 294 yards and six TDs.
