INCIDENT LOG

Editor’s note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Monday, Nov. 30: Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle traveling west in the eastbound lane of U.S. 2, almost causing a head-on collision in the vicinity of the county Transfer Station.

Responding to Wheatland Bank, Davenport ambulance personnel assisted a 35-year-old woman who fainted.

A caller told dispatchers she thought someone was in her house in the 1200 block of Eighth Street in Davenport after hearing the sound of passing gas close by.

A deputy’s patrol vehicle was towed to a repair shop after he believed he was about to lose a left rear wheel in the vicinity of SR 231 and Snider Road.

Tuesday, Dec. 1: A Washington State Patrol trooper found a walker, wheelchair, pair of shoes and muddy pants alongside SR 174 in the vicinity of Geostar Road.

A WSP trooper was able to catch up with a possibly intoxicated woman who crashed her vehicle into a light pole near the Sprague Chevron station before driving away on Interstate 90.

Deputies responded to both the 100 block of East Railroad and the 400 block of North Laurel in Reardan after receiving reports of a domestic incident in progress, threats to harm people with a firearm and damage done to a front door.

Wednesday, Dec. 2: Deputies and an EMT responded to Davenport’s Pioneer Plaza to assist a man who fell and hit his head.

Deputies and the county coroner’s office responded to an unattended death at a residence in the 700 block of Sinclair Street in Davenport.

A Wilbur woman reported damage to an axle after her vehicle struck a curb.

Thursday, Dec. 3: A vehicle slid off an extremely icy Green Canyon Road near Mill Canyon Road and went into a ditch.

Sprague ambulance personnel assisted a man complaining of chest pains.

A vehicle collided with a tree on Crescent Road about 1½ miles north of SR 231, leaving a 12- and 16-year-old injured (one with a head injury) and transported by ambulance to a Spokane hospital.

Deputies investigated a possible assault incident at a residence on Whispering Pines Drive north of Reardan.

Responding to the 1100 block of Third Street, Davenport ambulance personnel assisted a 93-year-old woman who fell and suffered cuts to her face.

Reardan Police investigated the report of a stolen vehicle from the 200 block of South Lake Street.

Friday, Dec. 4: A Sprague man reported he may be the victim of unauthorized use of a credit card in his name.

A vehicle was reported stolen from the 900 block of Morgan Street in Davenport. Located in the vicinity of U.S. 2 and Alexander Road near Reardan, the vehicle’s ignition was damaged and its stereo removed as well.

A collision involving a vehicle and deer was reported on U.S. 2 west of Davenport.

Saturday, Dec. 5: The Keller ferry was reported back in service after a few days of being inoperative.

A caller told dispatchers she ran off a vehicle occupied by two men who claimed they were goose hunting, but without permission on property near Gheres and Lake roads near Sprague Lake.

Responding to the 500 block of Walla Walla Street in Sprague, Sprague and Edwall emergency personnel assisted an 86-year-old woman who fell and suffered cuts to her head.

Firefighters from Creston, Wilbur and Lincoln battled a structure fire in the 400 block of NW Jump Street in Creston.

After receiving reports of loud explosions from two callers in the Spring Canyon area, responding deputies were satisfied that the source was either fireworks testing outside Grand Coulee or a propane tank in a burn pile on nearby property.

A caller reported a “300-lb. rock” blocking Spring Canyon Road about a quarter-mile from Lakeview Terrace in the Grand Coulee area. A responding deputy was able to remove the obstruction from the roadway.

A Wilbur caller reported receiving numerous crank calls.

Sunday, Dec. 6: A resident of the 300 block of Marshall Street in Davenport told dispatchers he believed someone attempted to enter his house during the night after discovering muddy footprints outside.

Damage to the roadway at Leffel and Mountain View Cemetery roads near Davenport occurred when a vehicle occupied by as many as three individuals got stuck near railroad tracks.

Wilbur Police dealt with a man reportedly threatening to harm himself.

Nov. 30: Philip W. Irwin, 23, Davenport, arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) for driving while license suspended.

Dec. 1: Randolph R. Evans, 60, Seven Bays, confined one day by the court for driving under the influence.

Tiauna L. Kannas, 18, Wilbur, arrested by LCSO for failing to appear for driving while license suspended.

Jolene Zimmerman, 44, Seattle, arrested by LCSO for driving under the influence.

Dec. 3: Ricke D. Baesman, 52, Bandon, Ore., arrested by LCSO for failing to appear for driving under the influence.

Dec. 5: Uriah N. Allen, 33, Wellpinit, arrested by LCSO for failing to appear for driving while license suspended.

Tyson K. Cole, 36, Spokane, confined 12 days by the court for violating a no-contact order.

Dec. 6: Jason S. Miller, 39, Wilbur, arrested by LCSO for failing to appear for driving under the influence.

From Dec. 1 to 7, 29 inmates from outside Lincoln County were held in the county jail under contract with the Washington State Department of Corrections.
