Gun Clubs back in action

Editor’s note: The Record neglected to publish the trapshooting results in last week’s paper, so this week’s article on the results is longer than normal with both weeks’ results included.

Odessa

On January 10 at the Odessa Gun Club, no one shot a perfect 25. Shooting 24 were Tom Schuh and Brady Gies.

Traig Weishaar, Jared Praetorius and Colley Walter all shot 23, while Landon Lobe, Aaron Gies, Ryan Lewis, William Mann and Jon Fink shot 22. Hitting 21 were Lane Lobe and Mike Nichols, Sr.

Those with 20 and under were Dalles Deife, Daeton Deife, Pilot Weishaar, Randy Gies, Deanna Lobe, Jim Smith, Trevor Smith, Markham Nichols, Brian Wraspir, Bill Weber, Mike Nichols, Jr., Collette Nichols, Rochelle Schuh, HaLee Walter, Daniel Mann and Tucker Walter.

Brady Gies had both the High Handicap and High Doubles. He also took first in the Miss-n-Out comptition, while HaLee Walter took second place. The Bushwacker award went to Jon Fink.

The January 17 shoot saw two gun club members get a perfect 25: Brady Gies and Bill Weber.

Shooting 24 were Markham Nichols and Mike Nichols, Jr.

Landon Lobe, Jared Praetorius, Aaron Gies, Tom Schuh and Jon Fink all shot 23.

Traig Weishaar and Brian Wraspir shot 22.

Shotting 21 were Randy Gies, Mike Nichols, Jr. and Daniel Mann.

Those with 20 and under were Pilot Weishaar, Drew Hardung, Jett Nelson, Max Greenwalt, Hunter Bramer, Drew Nichols, Trever Smith, Lane Lobe and Deanna Lobe.

The high handicap shooter was Jon Fink.

Marlin

At the Marlin Gun Club, the January 10 meeting saw two shooters get top scores of 25, Conrad Shearer and Corey Shearer.

Shooting 24 were Kevin Myre, Dennis Klemmer, Dan Asker, Dave Asker and Mark Iksic. Doug Brashear, Doug Starkel, Mark Edwins, Daryl Kimble, Dave Pelham, Jim Imbert and Ken Thompson all shot 23.

Mark Brashear, Dusty Kimble, Jon Jensen, Ken Eckhart and Carmen Eckhart shot 22. Getting 21 were Jeff Norley, Gage Starkel, Kara Gunderson, Jakob Starkel, Tristan Rocha, Cody Follett, Susan James, J.J. Heston, Caden Johnson and MacKenzie Bemis.

Shooting 20 or lower were Shelbey Brashear, Taeven Brashear, Pam Brashear, Paige Heston, William Liebermann, Mathew Lieberman, Steve Siegel, Leah Heer, Jessie Pelham, Josh Gray, Rob Imbert, Juan Rocha, Mike French, Mark Jennett, Tucker Jennett, Chase Jennett, Bill James, Travis Shearer, Lynette Nelson, Austin Nelson, Ron Lesser, Brent Finkbeiner, Brian Finkbeiner, Loren Totusek and Scott Mortimer.

The Miss-n-Out winner was Bill James.

On January 17, the Marlin Gun Club had a total of 50 shooters.

Shooting perfect scores of 25 were Mark Brashear, Austin Nelson and Tristan Rocha.

Mark Iksic, Dan Asker, Dave Asker and Jim Imbert all shot 24, while Mark Edwins, Caden Johnson and Bill James all shot 23.

Doug Starkel, Cody Follett, Jeff Norley and Taeven Brashear all shot 22.

Ken Eckhart, Travis Iksic, Dennis Klemmer, Ken Thompson, Dusty Kimble, Doug Imbert and Andre Morales shot 21.

Hitting 20 and under were Scott Mortimer, Daryl Kimble, Carmen Eckhart, Dave Pelham, Kevin Myre, Ron Lesser, Brent Finkbeiner, J.J. Heston, Josh Gray, Susan James, Dylan Heer, Mike French, Juan Rocha, Lynette Nelson, Pamela Brashear, Brian Finkbeiner, Kara Gunderson, Shelby Brashear, Steve Siegel, Jessie Pelham, Rick Heer, Hunter James, Jessie True, Gage Starkel, Leah Heer, Amy Hilliard, Paige Heston and Kerry Koziol.

Handicap shooters Mark Brashear and Bill James shot 24, and Cody Follett shot 22.

Carmen Eckhart was the Miss-N-Out winner and Gage Starkel was the Bushwacker winner.
