Fund-raiser hosted for local Odessa food bank

Hello Odessa.

My name is Charlotte Jensen. Recently I volunteered to have a fund-raiser for our local food bank. I did this for two reasons. I enjoy doing these types of things, and there is a definite need for it.

My husband and I have lived here several years, but don’t know everyone in town yet. The people we do know we are happy to call friends. We both grew up poor, but we always had something to eat. My mother grew up very, very poor and often her family struggled to have a meal, going hungry a lot. I’m sure that is why growing up it was her priority to always have plenty for us to eat....
