Quilt club's Tea/Chinese auction is Monday, 2/8

Fronen Steppdecker, The Odessa Quilt Club, will hold their annual Quilters Tea/Chinese Auction, Monday, February 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Any Occasion Banquet Hall, located at 3 W. First Ave. The auction is open to the public. This is a great way to increase your fabric and crafting supply stash at minimal cost.

Proceeds from the auction will be put toward bringing a nationally know quilting instructor to Odessa for classes and lectures, thereby drawing more folks to Odessa for quilting events and increasing local quilting knowledge.

Items donated so far include: Books on quilting and crafts, ‘70s and ‘80s vintage yardage, ‘50s era fabric scraps, assorted patterns, ‘30s era hand-pieced quilt top and sewing notions. Additional donations of quilting and crafting related items will be gladly accepted. Call Laura Estes, 982-2908, for drop-off information. See our ad in this issue of The Odessa Record or check the guild website at http://www.odessaquiltclub.com for additional information.
