These quilters haven't wilted

Quilt Til You Wilt took place Monday in the Odessa Community Center with many kinds of activities and presentations going on all day long. By noon approximately 80 of the expected 100 or so visitors to the event had arrived and set up their work stations on the community center's long wooden tables. Sewing machines hummed, conversation and laughter came from all parts of the room and those present appeared to be fully engrossed in the art of quilt-making.

The potluck lunch at noon was in full swing when we visited the premises and got invited to share in the repast. These quilters can also cook, by golly!

About every hour or half hour, a new event was announced, and those interested in it left their work and went to the presentation area. There were lots of exchanges of information and tips to make quilting easier, faster, more polished or simply different. Fabric swatches were also exchanged and drawings were held for prizes.
