The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

Monday, April 17: Davenport ambulance personnel transported a 67-year-old woman to Lincoln Hospital after she suffered a possible stroke.

Responding to the 700 block of SE Railroad in Wilbur, deputies intervened in an assault incident involving a possibly intoxicated man and a woman. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

RV park personnel in Wilbur thought it strange that a man had paid them $10 to watch a boat on a trailer but failed to return the following day as promised to retrieve it. Deputies helped locate the owner in Spokane.

Graffiti was discovered on one of the ramps at the Davenport skate park.

An Edwall woman told dispatchers she had received threats against her on Facebook.

A Davenport man was arrested on drug charges after a deputy made a traffic stop at the intersection of Twelfth and Marshall streets.

Deputies investigated a possible burglary at a residence in the 200 block of NE Cliff Street in Wilbur.

Odessa Police responded to a dog problem in the 300 block of Birch and to complaints of vehicles speeding through an alley behind the 400 block of East 3rd Avenue.

Tuesday, April 18: Deputies investigated a shoplifting incident at a Sprague convenience store, from which at least $100 worth of merchandise was taken.

Deputies responded to a report of a possible structure fire in the 700 block of Morgan Street in Davenport.

A Lincoln area woman told dispatchers that a man had approached her and yelled threats to put her in jail and kill her dog.

A caller advised that someone made threats to beat her up as part of a dispute over a fence being built on property north of Reardan.

Reardan Police responded to a report of a verbal altercation involving a teacher and student at Reardan High School.

Wednesday, April 19: Responding to a residence on SE Columbia, Wilbur ambulance personnel transported a 50-year-old man experiencing pain in his arm to Lincoln Hospital in Davenport.

A group of young people caused a commotion for residents of Omans Road outside Davenport by racing down the road, stopping and shooting at ducks and throwing trash from their vehicles.

A deputy’s presence was requested by a Davenport woman involved in a dispute.

Deputies launched an arson investigation after a structure fire in the 400 block of SE Anne in Wilbur.

Thursday, April 20: Sprague ambulance personnel assisted a 60-year-old man who told dispatchers his right arm was numb and his speech was slurred.

A property owner on Duck Lake Lamona Road near Odessa reported someone had crop-dusted trees there.

A Davenport area resident reported receiving a phone call from a man who said he knew where she lived and was coming for her. A responding deputy associated the phone number with an ongoing scam.

An Odessa caller reported the theft of flower boxes from a residence on Kellum Road East.

A deputy advised a man who was “testing” his go-cart in the Davenport Elementary School parking lot ahead of an upcoming race not to do that anymore.

Responding to the 1200 block of Eighth Street in Davenport, a deputy checked out a report of an attempted assault involving a woman, a man and alcohol.

Odessa Police intervened in a dispute between two individuals at the local museum.

Friday, April 21: A Lincoln area man requested an ambulance from Wilbur for his 10-year-old son who was bleeding after being hit in the head with a rock.

A Wilbur area resident became concerned he had given his Social Security number to a fake satellite network company that promised a “better deal” in exchange for his personal information.

A deputy assisted an elderly man having issues with oxygen while at the US Bank in Davenport.

Odessa Police responded to a report that a vehicle drove into garage doors at a residence in the 100 block of East Marjorie.

Saturday, April 22: Broken glass on Morgan Street between Ninth and Tenth in Davenport posed a traffic hazard.

A resident of Aspen Lane East in the Hawk Creek area northwest of Davenport told dispatchers she believes someone has been stealing her mail.

A man requested help for his daughter who was struck by a boulder while hiking on U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) property adjacent to Lakeview Ranch Loop North in the Odessa area. She suffered a large bruise on her abdomen and leg and wasn’t able to walk.

A caller reported a possible domestic incident at SR 28 and Coal Springs Road south of Davenport when he noticed a man beating on the glass of a vehicle with a woman inside. The woman drove away, heading south on SR 28, leaving the man on foot heading north.

A caller reported seeing people holding beers while riding all-terrain vehicles on Porcupine Bay Road past the barriers set up after the landslide.

A 50-year-old woman found slumped over and unable to lift her arm in her vehicle at SR 25 and Sunset Highway east of Davenport was treated at Lincoln Hospital.

A Davenport woman requested help after a bird flew into a window and “flopped around” in her yard in the 1100 block of Third Street.

Sunday, April 23: Odessa Memorial Hospital personnel prepared to treat a local man experiencing pain in his side.

Dispatchers transferred to the Washington State Patrol a report that a trucker was threatening to shoot another trucker while traveling west on Interstate 90 in Lincoln County.

Deputies launched a search for a 17-year-old runaway boy from the Almira area.

A resident of Moore Road North in the Reardan area reported someone cut wood on his property without his permission and that the front door to a mobile home had been kicked in and items stolen.

A Wilbur resident requested assistance with a 21-year-old relative having what was described as “a mental breakdown.”

Responding to the 100 block of East Railroad in Reardan, emergency personnel dealt with a man who had chest pains after consuming alcohol and marijuana, lost consciousness for a time, then became verbally abusive while being attended to.

April 17: Mitchell S. Anderson, 28, Davenport, arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) for conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver a legend drug and possession of a controlled substance.

April 18: Daniel T. Lawson, 32, Davenport, arrested by LCSO for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance.

Wanda L. Earle, 40, Davenport, arrested by LCSO for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance.

April 20: Hedgar Hernandez, 27, Brewster, Wash., arrested by LCSO on an out-of-county warrant.

April 21: Doris Ray Loughbom, 55, Davenport, arrested by LCSO for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Evert Kevin Costello, 55, Davenport, arrested by LCSO for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver (4 counts) and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance (3 counts).

Pamela K. Lightbody, 39, Sprague, confined 7 days by the court for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

April 22: Hayden A. Herdrick, 23, Almira, confined 1 day by the court for driving under the influence.

April 24: Aaron K. Flatbush, 23, Spokane, arrested by LCSO on a warrant from Marysville, Wash.

From April 18 to 24, 13 individuals were held in the Lincoln County Jail under contract with the Washington State Department of Corrections.

Criminal Sentencings

Kyle Lee Hurt, 23, of Davenport, pleaded guilty April 18 to conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine (amended through plea negotiations from two counts of possession of methamphetamine). His sentence included 12 months and one day in prison, 12 months probation, $1,062 court assessments and $500 public defender reimbursement. The case concerned incidents in Davenport between May 3 and 9 of last year.

A jury on March 24 found Patricia Marie Doree, 52, of Spokane, guilty of first-degree theft in connection with the taking of more than $5,000 worth of copper conduit, hardware and wire from a building owned by American Tower Corp. on Macabee Road near Sprague between March 1 and May 8, 2015. At the time, the property owner estimated the cost of repairing the facility at $33,880. Prosecutors subsequently withdrew other charges of second-degree burglary and first-degree malicious mischief when jurors “could not come to agreement” about her guilt in 10-2 votes. Her March 28 sentence included 12 months in jail, $900 court costs and restitution to be determined.

Civil Judgment

Citing lack of evidence, the court dismissed a request from Tricia M. Rux, of Davenport, for a domestic violence protection order against Kevin W. Rux.

New Criminal Cases

Daniel Thomas Lawson, 32, of Davenport, is charged with six counts of possession of legend drugs with intent to deliver and three counts of conspiracy to possess controlled substances with intent to deliver, all connected to incidents in Davenport from Dec. 26, 2016, to April 18 of this year.

Melissa Christina Church (Rail), 36, of Spokane, is charged with possession of heroin in connection with an Oct. 16, 2016, incident north of Reardan near the intersection of Moore Road and SR 231N.

New Civil Cases

Misty Lee Walton, of Davenport, seeks a domestic violence protection order against Jared Steven Krieger in a matter involving two minor children.

Irwin Law Firm and Christal Olivia Irwin, of Colville, ask the court to order Ferry County to produce public records relating to contracting for criminal defense services to the Ferry County District Court. The petitioners claim requests were filed in April and August of last year and that the respondents failed to deliver on a promise of having the records sent by Nov. 2.

Grange Insurance Association seeks a court ruling that it doesn’t have to defend or indemnify Mielke Brothers, Inc., or Douglas Mielke, in the lawsuit filed against them earlier this year by Robert Mielke, Judy Mielke, Dorothy Mielke and Cheryl Beymer.

Probate

A small estate affidavit was filed April 17 for the late Bernice M. and Herman G. Fisher, with four individuals as claimed successors – residents of Shoreline, Wash., Spokane, Rathdrum, Idaho, and Moses Lake.
