Tiger girls take three of four at Gorilla Classic

The girls volleyball team traveled to Davenport Saturday to compete in the Gorilla Classic Volleyball Tournament, a neutral tournament with Almira-Coulee/Hartline, Davenport, Yakama Nation Tribal School and Medical Lake participating.

In the first match, the Tigers stole the win from the Davenport Gorillas by winning two out of three games to take the match. The scores were:

Game one: 25-21 Odessa

Game two: 15-25 D-port

Game three: 15-11 Odessa

The second match was a Tiger win against Medical Lake, with Odessa winning the first two games, therefore leaving the need to play a third game unnecessary. The scores were:

Game one: 25-21 Odessa

Game two: 25-19 Odessa

For match three the Tigers took on and beat the Yakama Nation Tribal School in two games. The scores were:

Game one: 25-16 Odessa

Game two: 25-19 Odessa

It was in the third match against Almira-Coulee/Hartline the Lady Tigers met their demise with a two-game loss. The scores were:

Game one: 11-25 ACH

Game two: 8-25 ACH

The Tigers play an away match at Columbia High School in Hunters on September 6.
