Tiger headed to 1B state tournament in Spokane

The Tiger boys took the long road to the state tournament, but they made it. After losing a close game to Wellpinit February 10 in Deer Park, the boys defeated Columbia, Cusick and then Wellpinit to make their way back into contention.

Columbia (Hunters)

Playing at Deer Park High School against Columbia on February 14, the Tiger boys came out with a lopsided win, 65-27.

Ryan Moffet led the scoring with 21 points, followed by Marcus King with 10 and both Jett Nelson and Colton Hunt with nine.

Tim DeWulf led the rebounding with seven, and King added another five.

Cusick

On February 16, the Tigers played Cusick in Deer Park, this time also getting the lopsided win.

Moffet led the team with 35 points, Hunt added 12 and Camden Weber had 11.

Defensively, DeWulf and King had a repeat of the previous game with seven and five rebounds, respectively.

Wellpinit

The final game in the District playoffs on February 17 pitted Odessa against Wellpinit again. This time the Tigers came out on top, taking second place at District, while ACH placed first. The game was defensive and low-scoring, as both teams fought hard, staying neck and neck until the fourth quarter, when Odessa managed to pull out ahead.

Moffet had 19 points and King had 11 to pace the Tigers.

Jaden Hunt had five rebounds with several teammates contributing four each for a good team effort.
