Home-school commencement ceremony Saturday at Heritage

Elizabeth Hayashi, the eldest daughter of Pastor Jon and Michelle Hayashi, will celebrate her high school commencement June 16 at Heritage Church in Odessa beginning at 11 a.m. Since her family moved to Odessa, Elizabeth has been home-schooled. Following graduation, she will be attending Vanguard University of Southern California, an accredited, private, non-profit Christian university of liberal arts and professional studies located in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Elizabeth has participated in the annual musicals performed at the Odessa schools for the past several years as an extra-curricular activity and is planning to study the performing arts in college. She is also an accomplished dancer, having taken ballet lessons in Ephrata for several years.
