Trapshoot contest more than half way to the finish

The Spokesman-Review’s Inland Northwest Trapshoot competition completed week 5 of competition on February 3, 2019. The Marlin and Odessa Gun Clubs participate in trap shooting from their respective locations but combine their scores to form one team that is entered into the competition.

Odessa

Odessa had two shooters with a perfect 25 this week, Garrett Braun and Markus Smith.

Shooting 24 were Jon Fink, Nick Tebow, Colley Walter and Jim Smith.

Anthony Passkeicz and Landon Lobe shot 23, while Ryan Lewis, Lane Lobe, Cody Stanford and Bill Weber tallied 22 targets. Tom Schuh, Tyler Smith and Tebow each shot 21.

Shooting 20 and under were Brandon Larmer, Jared King, Taylor Aaland, Trevor Smith, Cade Weber, Cody Larmer, Nathan Melcher and Tucker Walter.

Jon Fink and Nick Tebow were the high handicap shooters. Jon Fink was the high doubles shooter. Nathan Melcher won the Miss-n-Out contest. The Annie Oakley contest went to Nathan Melcher and the Bushwacker award went to Jon Fink.

Marlin

Bill James was the only shooter to hit all 25 targets. Cory Shearer, Todd Druffel, Carmen Eckhart, Juan Rocha and Kaden Johnson all shot 24. Mark Iksic, Dan Asker, Mark Ewing, Doug Starkel, Rich Swanson, Kody Vandeweghe, Cody Follett and Ken Eckhart shot 23.

Shooting 22 were Mark Brashear, Kevin Myre, Mike Christ, Hunter James, Gunnar Falstead, Tyson Visker and Gage Starkel. Jim Imbert, Austin Nelson, Wayne Dainty, Rob Imbert and Garrett Johnson shot 21.

Shooting 20 and under were Dave Asker, Jim Schell, Scott Mortimer, Doug Brashear, Shelby Brashear, Chuck Ray, Ron Lesser, Brent Finkbeiner, Josh Gray, Taeven Brashear, Cory Kramer, Dusty Kimble, Tate Heston, Susan James, Noel Bowden, Brian Finkbeiner, Tyson Decker, Andre Morales, Mark Kramer, Teri Kramer, JD Blumm, Brooke Bongudi, Jessie True, Jon Hettingh, Kass Kimble, Jordan James, Izabelle Kramer, Shana Gallaway, Elijah Long, Charlene Krause, Dakota McAfee, Jacob Stanbury and Kevin Heer.

High handicap was Todd Druffel. High doubles winner was Doug Starkel.
