Odessa senior Maddy Wagner was named a MaxPreps/AVCA player of the week for September 2 – September 8, 2019. Playing in 10 games during the Gorilla Classic tournament, she played hard and put up great statistics.

She had 23 kills (2.3 per game), 28 digs (2.8 per game), 71 receptions and 6 blocks.

The Tigers played another match Tuesday of this week (results will be provided next week). Their next appearance will be a non-conference away match against Davenport High on Saturday, Sept. 14, beginning at noon.

We have no sports pictures for our readers this week because we haven’t had time to go to any matches. Local photographer Stan Dammel has offered to provide The Record with photos whenever he can again this year, so we hope to have some soon.
