No local trapshooters get perfect scores on Sunday

The Spokesman-Review Trapshooting Contest had the Marlin and Odessa Gun Clubs shooting on Sunday, January 19. Last week’s shoot left the Division I Marlin-Odessa team in second place by one point after the Yakima Valley Sportsmen.

Marlin Gun Club

Of Marlin’s 51 shooters this week, no one hit all 25 targets.

Hitting 24 were Mark Iksic, Bill James, Mark Brashear, Camden Eckhart, Shelby Brashear, Juan Rocha and Tyson Visker.

Rob Imbert, Gage Starkel, Vance Kiffer and Brett Iksic shot 23.

Coming in at 22 were Doug Starkel, Rich Swanson, Carmen Eckhart, Tristan Rocha and Kaden Johnson.

Shooting 21 were Austin Nelson, Dave Asker, Scott Mortimer, Chuck Ray, Brent Finkbeiner, Kyle Starkel and Aaron Schrodt.

With 20 targets or less were Dan Asker, Jim Imbert, Kevin Myre, Todd Druffel, Ken Eckhart, Wayne Dainty, Paul Bowden, Ron Lesser, Jake Bennett, Susan James, Noel Bowden, Brian Finkbeiner, Dylan Heer, Teri Kramer, JD Bluhm, Garrett Johnson, Kevin Heer, Dakota McAfee, Izabelle Kramer, Charlene Krause, Shana Gallaway, Elijah Long, Brayden Finkbeiner, Kolby Lyon, Trevin Lowry, Miller Stout, Wiley Kimble, Aurora Iksic.

High Handicap shooter was Jim Imbert.

Doubles winner was Austin Nelson.

Miss-n-out award went to Mark Brashear.

Odessa Gun Club

At the Odessa Gun Club, there were also no perfect scores on January 19, but Markus Smith and Nick Tebow both shot 24.

Justin Hunt, Jared Praetorius, Jared King, Lane Lobe and Landon Lobe shot 23.

Shooting 22 were Jon Fink, Cody Stanford and Ryan Lewis.

Daeton Deife and Max Greenwalt both shot 21 targets.

In the 20 and under group were Tucker Walter, Colley Walter, Tanner Stanford, Nathan Melcher, Camden Weber, Bill Weber, Garrett Braun, Cade Weber, Pilot Weishaar, Marcus King, Carley Stanford, Deric Schmierer and Megan Kane.

High Handicap shooter was Cody Stanford. High Doubles winner was Jon Fink. Receiving the Miss-n-Out prizes were Markus Smith (first) and Nick Tebow (second). Justin Hunt earned the Annie Oakley award. Markus Smith was the High Continental shooter and also won the Bushwacker contest.
