Shots to the arm

DAVENPORT – Lynn and Bill Hein, of Reardan, receive their first Moderna vaccine aimed at preventing COVID-19 at Memorial Hall in Davenport Jan. 21. Last week, Lincoln Hospital scheduled 100 doses for those 65 and older and in the "high risk" category for being negatively affected by the virus. This week, the hospital received 100 more doses and is reaching out to more high-risk individuals. The Lincoln County Health Department, meanwhile, received 100 doses. They were scheduled to give some doses in Wilbur Jan. 27 to high-risk school staff and high-risk individuals, and were planning to host a clinic in Davenport for high-risk school staff Feb. 1.
