The masque ball given by Odessa members of the Elks fraternity at the Community Hall Friday night was unquestionably the social event of the season for the dancing public. From the standpoint of weather it came at a most unfavorable time for the roads in some places were almost impassible, and a number of people who started were unable to get to Odessa by their cars stalling in the mud. Nevertheless, the crowd that came filled the hall and there were many fine costumes.
