Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt returns

ODESSA – The Odessa Lions Club will hold its annual (except for the Covid year of 2020) Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, Apr. 3, at three different areas of Reiman Park. The youngest children, up to the age of three, will hunt for candy-filled plastic eggs in the fenced playground area. Children aged 4 to 6 will search the grassy area just west of the playground that is sometimes used for pickup volleyball games, and those aged 7 to 9 will search the picnic and pool section of the park filled with trees. The youngsters in each of the three areas will also be searching for a golden egg that represents a special goodie-filled basket from the Easter Bunny. Each of the three children who find the golden egg in their area will also be requested to pose for a picture for The Odessa Record.

Since this Saturday morning event is for children up to age 9, those who are 10 and older have been invited by Go Odessa Recreation to participate in a flashlight Easter egg hunt this evening, Thursday, Apr. 1 (for real; not an April Fool’s joke!). It will also take place at Reiman Park starting at 8:45 p.m. First held in 2019, the
