Raymond Mattox

1932-2021

Raymond Mattox passed away May 1, 2021 at his home in Reardan, Wash. He was born Oct. 15, 1932 in Ronan, Mont. to Leland and Gertrude Mattox.

Raymond married Linnea Anderson on Feb. 20, 1953 in Seattle, Wash. Raymond was a plumber and he owned and operated Ray's Plumbing in Everett for several years before moving to eastern Washington where he developed Rocky Top Estates.

Raymond loved the outdoors with family and friends camping, hunting and fishing, a tradition he passed down to his children and grandchildren. Raymond loved his music. He was a self-taught guitar player, another talent he passed down to his grandchildren.

Raymond's big passion was flying. He loved anytime spent flying his planes. Raymond is a member of the V.F.W.

Raymond is survived by his four children Raymond (Maureen) Mattox Jr., Dee Ann Edwards, Nora Mattox (Ross Felice) and Donny (Cindy) Mattox along with 10 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren. He also has six siblings Delores, Betty, Norma, Tom, Regina and Larry and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Linnea in 1998 along with one sister (Sharon) and one brother Marvin (aka Smokey).

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Assured Hospice, 1417 Pioneer way, Moses Lake, WA 98837.
