Road rage ends in parking lot

DAVENPORT — A man was punched in the face in the Safeway parking lot after confronting another driver who had flipped him off, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The incident occurred around 8:35 p.m. March 20. The victim told deputies he was driving to the store when a black Ford F-150 pickup cut him off and the driver made an obscene gesture, records show.

He followed the truck to Safeway and asked the driver why he had been flipped off. An argument ensued and the other man punched the victim, who suffered a bleeding lip but declined medical treatment.
