Gorillas drop heartbreaker to Lind-Ritzville/Sprague

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague junior wide receiver Hunter Dinkins takes a pass 30 yards into the end zone in the Broncos' 25-24 win over the hometown Gorillas Friday, Sept. 10.

DAVENPORT--The hometown Gorillas marched the ball up and down the field in Friday night's contest against the No. 9 ranked Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos, being stopped from scoring on just two drives. Despite this fact, an 80-yard kickoff return touchdown by LRS freshman running back Brody Boness gave the visitors the lead with 2:11 left and, ultimately, the win.

Davenport fell to 1-1 with a 25-24 loss at the hands of the Broncos, while LRS improved to 2-0 to start the 2021 season.
