Reardan holds off Oroville in nonleague showdown

REARDAN--It wasn't always pretty, but the home team was able to notch a victory for the first time this season. Senior Abe Nelson was key as Reardan knocked off the Oroville Hornets 21-13 in a non league matchup Saturday, Sept. 11 to improve to 1-1.

The first quarter indicated Saturday's matchup might be a blowout. Oroville received the opening kickoff before muffing a punt and handing Reardan the ball on the visitors' 32-yard line. Reardan took advantage, marching down the field and scoring when Nelson ran in a seven-yard score with 7:35 left in the first quarter.
