Kettle Falls assistant football coach dies of COVID-19

KETTLE FALLS – Assistant high school football coach Fernando Montgomery died of COVID-19 Sunday, Sept. 19. He was 30 years old.

Montgomery graduated from the high school here in 2009. He had reportedly been battling coronavirus for just a week.

The Kettle Falls football team is currently shut down due to COVID-19 concerns, and the volleyball program is shut down for two weeks for the same reason.
