LINCOLN COUNTY-It was a busy week for cross country runners in Davenport, Reardan and Harrington. The Gorillas and Reardan participated in the 51-school Battle for the 509 at Fairways Golf Course in Cheney, while Davenport also competed in a league meet. Harrington, meanwhile, had its second league meet in Colfax.
Davenport finished second to Chewelah in a league meet at Jenkins High School Oct. 5. The Gorillas placed 23rd in the Battle for the 509 Oct. 2, which included schools as big as Mead, Coeur d'Alene and Gonzaga Prep.
Reardan didn't place in the girls varsity race at Fairways Golf...
