Halloween Carnival yields high turnout

Hartley Steward won the grand prize in the Boo a Business contest held just prior to the Halloween Carnival on Oct. 31, sponsored by the FFA chapter from Odessa High.

ODESSA – The Halloween Carnival held in the community center Sunday, Oct. 31, sponsored by the Odessa High School chapter of FFA, is being heralded as a great success.

The "Boo a Business" contest just prior to the carnival saw 30 children submit entry forms after visiting local businesses that agreed to be open from 3 to 4 p.m. for the kids to get treats and a signature from the business. Hartley Steward, the daughter of April and Shawn Steward and granddaughter of Dave and Janie Steward, all of Odessa, won the grand prize.
