DAVENPORT--The Davenport football was named the No. 8 seed for the state playoffs and will take on the No. 9 Toledo Riverhawks of the Central 2B League in the first round of the tournament.
Toledo is 9-2 overall this season. The Riverhawks' only losses are to fellow 2B playoff contestants in No. 1 Kalama and No. 5 Onalaska.
The Riverhawks play a similar style to Davenport, relying on a strong, physical rushing attack and a solid front-seven defense while passing very little and lying susceptible to the pass due to a weak secondary. Toledo beat Friday Harbor 49-27 on Nov. 6 to secure its s...
