Christmas season now in full swing

The lit tree stands tall next to the Old Town Hall, with a star on top crafted by local resident Brady Haase. A crowd of about 50 people came for the lighting and the caroling, cocoa, cider, coffee and cookies.

ODESSA – The busy season is upon us, with events filling our days once again after so many months of Covid-related caution and social distancing. The Christmas tree lighting at the Old Town Hall was held Nov. 28 and drew a good-sized crowd. Young and old and in between appeared to enjoy the festivities, which included hot drinks, cookies, muffins and candy at no charge to those who attended.

The event generally kicks off the holiday season in Odessa and is followed by Christmas Fest on Dec. 1 and the various holiday gatherings and parties of various businesses, clubs and other groups tha...
