Davenport boys pull away from Kettle Falls

Gorillas find their rhythm in last 11 minutes

DAVENPORT-It took 21 minutes of game time, but the Davenport boys basketball offense finally started moving the ball and finding some flow with three minutes left in the third quarter of the Gorillas' home opener against Kettle Falls. That rhythm, aided by an offensive outburst from junior Brenick Soliday, allowed Davenport to pull away from the Bulldogs 62-44 Tuesday, Nov. 30.

Davenport started strongly thanks to lockdown defense and took a 17-4 lead. Zane Edwards capped an 8-0 Kettle Falls run in response with a three-pointer at the first quarter buzzer, and Davenport led 17-12 after one...
