DAVENPORT—The Gorillas varsity girls basketball team didn’t return any of its five starters from last year. That inexperience showed in Davenport’s season opening game against Kettle Falls, which the visiting Bulldogs won handily 42-27 Tuesday, Nov. 30.
Davenport’s offense struggled, as the Gorillas had more turnovers (30) than points (27). The Gorillas started strong, taking a 6-2 lead on a pair of threes from Kiersten Kemmerer.
