Reardan girls go 1-1 over the week

Girls route Tekoa-Rosalia, fall to Lake Roosevelt

REARDAN—The varsity girls got off to a 2-0 start this season with convincing victories over Newport and Tekoa-Rosalia before suffering their first loss this season at Lake Roosevelt.

Reardan demolished the Timberwolves of Tekoa-Rosalia 61-5 and didn’t allow a point in the first or fourth quarters Friday, Dec. 3. Reardan was led by a balanced scoring attack. No player scored in double figures, but four players scored at least eight points while three more scored six points.

Kassidy Koch and Lana Shevchenko had nine points apiece, while Ella Curry had eight points and three steals. Ayden Krupke had eight points and five rebounds, while Erika Preuschoff, Hinnah Frolov and Lizzy Bell each scored six points, while Frolov added four steals.

Reardan then played a back-to-back and fell to the Lake Roosevelt Raiders 50-30 Saturday, Dec. 4. Krupke led the team in scoring with eight points and had three steals, while Preuschoff snared eight rebounds.

The girls will look to get back on track in a visit to 1A Colville Friday, Dec. 10 at 7:15 p.m. before a Winterfest trip to Davenport Saturday, Dec. 11.
