Reardan wrestling finishes second at Davenport Invitational

Host Gorillas finish sixth as Lake Roosevelt takes first

DAVENPORT—The Reardan wrestlers earned a second place finish at the Davenport Invitational Saturday morning, Dec. 4. The host Gorillas finished in sixth place out of nine competing schools.

Lake Roosevelt won the invite with 262 points, while Reardan had 180.5. Kittitas was in third place with 140.5 points, while Kettle Falls was fourth with 97 points. Medical Lake had a fifth-place finish with 95 points, while Davenport had 91 points. Oroville had 55 points, Wilbur-Creston had 38 points and Innovation had 32 points.

Reardan had three first-place individuals, while Davenport had two.

For Reardan, Preston Neufeld went 3-0 in the 106 pound division with a technical win over Levi Lee of Innovation. JC Merriottt won the 120 pound division with a sudden victory over Hudson Raulston of Medical Lake and a fall win over Sam Drake of Kettle Falls. Tristin Burril finished first in the 285 pound division with fall victories over Treven Houston of Wilbur-Creston, Robbie Adams of Kettle Falls and Joseph Tynan of Lake Roosevelt.

Davenport senior Cody Jenkins (195 pound division) and junior Matthew Wines also earned first-place finishes. Junior Sam Schneider earned a second-place finish, while sophomore Jacob Harvey finished in fifth place.

Troy Routh placed second in the 126 pound division for Reardan by beating Adrian Gallegos of Kittitas before falling to Colton Jackson of Lake Roosevelt. Cody Routh placed second in the 145 pound division with a win over Ethan Bolt of Kettle Falls and a loss to Francis Louie of Lake Roosevelt.

Conner Kline finished second in the 170 pound division with wins over Andrew Roberts of Medical Lake and Brody Schillinger of Davenport and a loss to Landon Krohn of Lake Roosevelt.

Carson Durbin finished second in the 195 pound division with a win over True Cole of Medical Lake before falling to Jenkins.

Aidan Chilson finished third in the 160 pound division after falling to Hunter Smith of Kittitas before beating Harvey and Christian Carson and Ty Rimpler of Lake Roosevelt.

Liam Hamilton finished in fourth place in the 182 pound division and Brighton Wulbrecht finished in sixth place in the 170 pound division for Reardan.
