Lions Club names lighting winners

ODESSA – The members of the Odessa Lions Club have again sponsored the residential Christmas lighting contest. The judges have made their selections and provided photos of the top three homes judged Monday evening, Dec. 20.

The home of Keith and Becky Kolterman on south Alder took first place, winning them a $150 gift to spend on next year's decorations. Joel and Danielle Hardung on Fairway came in second in the judging and were awarded $100, while Brad and Jamie Hawley, newcomers to Odessa, received $50 for their third-place win on First Ave. Honorable mention also went to the homes of Pete and Lisa Martin and Kyle and Sheena Starkel.

The annual lighting contest has long been sponsored by the Lions Club, which provides many services to the town in addition to sponsoring events such as the Turkey Carnival and the lighting contest.
