The new Airlift Northwest base at the Davenport Municipal Airport will employ an Airbus helicopter that has a range of 340 miles. Construction is expected to be completed this summer.
DAVENPORT-A new helicopter base operated by Airlift Northwest will be constructed at the Municipal Airport here this summer. The nonprofit air medical transport owned by UW Medicine will begin providing services around Central and Eastern Washington based in Davenport.
Airlift Northwest provides helicopter and fixed-wing plane transports. Locally, they will mostly transport patients to hospitals in Spokane, according to city manager Steve Goemmel.
