Masks come off in schools

The lifting of the state's mask mandate in most instances effective March 12 meant Monday, March 14 was the first time in nearly two academic years that children didn't have to wear masks to school. This means that kindergartners and first-graders are attending a mask-less classroom for the first time in their grade school years. Here, Katy Fisk's first-grade classroom practices math problems with their contemplative faces fully visible.
