OTH gets more grant money

ODESSA – Greg Luiten, manager of the Grange Supply Company of Odessa-Harrington worked with the Old Town Hall Rejuvenation Society to submit a grant application in February to Seeds for Stewardship, a competitive grant program that matches funds for projects that develop the next generation of ag leaders, improve ag safety and enhance the vitality of a community. Cenex Harvest States (CHS) has announced a contribution of $3,123 to the Old Town Hall Rejuvenation Society as a matching grant for dollars donated by the Grange Supply Co. to replace the electrical panel at Odessa's Old Town Hall.

The new electrical panel has now been installed. The donation from the Grange Supply Co. and the matching funds from CHS have paid for the expenses associated with the new electrical panel in their entirety. The need for a new panel was discovered when volunteers Scott Kuch and Bill Bell wired an outlet for a new dishwasher at the Old Town Hall. They found that the electrical panel had been modified at some point in the past and was considered a hazard.

CHS is the nations leading farmer-owned cooperative and a global energy, grain and foods company committed to supporting hometown communities through local matching grants, safety training and volunteerism.
