ODESSA–Golfer Daeton Deife was named one of the WIAA’s Athletes of the Week last week.

He started playing golf in his junior year of high school.

“Deife has improved tremendously and has won first place in a few golf tournaments. He takes gold and academics seriously,” the submission to the WIAA said. “Deife is very professional and is a part of the FBLA. He just went to state for the Future Business Leaders of America and captured first-place in his presentation. Deife is going to Nationals for FBLA in Chicago. He will be attending (the) University of Idaho in the fall.”
