A joyful Mule Days

REARDAN--Mule Days was a very joyful event this year. The class reunion was well attended with over 350 people in the huge tent outside of Smith Gym.

Because of the rain, fewer than half of the cars expected for the car show turned up. However, there were several beautiful classis that made the show worthwhile.

The parade had over 60 participants, with the Deer Park float taking first place and the Davenport float taking second.

Deer Park's float was themed "Fun All Around" with the three girls dancing on the float. Davenport's float was a spectacular combine with the wheels and header turning.

Before the parade, the Reardan-Edwall High School Band entertained the parade participants lining up for the parade, and after the parade they performed at the pavilion, to the delight of the craft show crowd.

Here are the results for the parade:

The Craft Fair had 45 vendors, many of which were new to Mule Days.

The local band "sunset Highway" played from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the "Justin James" band playing from 8 p.m. to midnight. The "Justin James" band interacted with the crowd and taught them how to dance.

The Horse and Mule Poker Ride on Sunday was attended by 28 adults and 6 kids. Angie Barta donated the second-place wine basket.

150 volunteers worked together to make this year's event happen.
