DAVENPORT-The high school football season starts off with a bang this year. The Reardan Screaming Eagles will take the football field for the first time under their new moniker Friday against the hometown Davenport Gorillas, who are looking to make a return trip to the 2B state playoffs.
Davenport went 9-2 last year and lost to Toledo in the first round of the state playoffs, while Reardan struggled to a 2-7 record.
The Gorillas will see some shifting in personnel due to graduations and slight shift in philosophy on offense, which head coach Justin Young said will be "more balanced" this...
